We are pleased to announce the opening on February 20, 2025, of our new dedicated furniture and transit packaging testing laboratory in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.
Situated in the heart of Indonesia’s thriving furniture industry and alongside our existing facilities, the new laboratory provides localized testing against all major domestic and international standards for furniture and transit packaging. It offers fast turnaround times, helping clients accelerate their access to target markets while ensuring compliance and enhancing product quality.
The site offers a wide range of testing and certification services to European and US standards for products such as:
- Residential furniture – seating, bunkbeds, kitchen equipment, children’s furniture, beds and mattresses, storage units, chests, dressers
- Office furniture – chairs, desks, screens, storage units, lounge seating, large occupant chairs, desk products
- Workbenches for laboratories
In addition, the laboratory can test upholstery, fabrics and leather materials for flammability and metal parts for corrosion resistance.
The new facility can also test packaging to International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) standards ISTA 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 2A and 2B and assess materials such as cardboard and corrugated cartons for edge-crush resistance and burst strength.
